When you approach a dog to kick him, or abuse him in any way for something he has done wrong, he is likely to interpret your actions as straightforward abuse or hatred. As a matter of fact, if the pet owner continues this pattern he is likely to be attacked by his own dog. The aim is to get your dog to obey and behave himself around the house, not to be scared of you.
Whenever you feel it is necessary to reprimand your dog for being bad, a simple no, in a stern and firm voice will suffice.
